- 1861:Private bank of Neenah founded and is housed in Pettibone Block.
- 1865: Applied for charter to convert bank into a national bank under the name of "National Bank of Neenah" with a capital of $50,000. On November 12th, Bank of Neenah went from a private bank to a national bank
- 1865: Henry Hewitt Sr. became the National Bank of Neenah's first official President and served for twenty-two years
- 1872: Established a savings department, being the first bank in Winnebago County to do so
- 1873: Railroad connection to Milwaukee established
- 1873: Purchase of the first lock to guard the vault
- 1883: The banking office burned down on January 14; the vault was spared due to the lock purchase in 1873. Reopens on January 15 out of the Kimberly-Clark Company's office.
- 1886: Hewitt retired as President on January 12 and Robert Shiells took his place. At this time, assets totaled to $495,000.
- 1888: Mr. McNaughton resigned as cashier and John P. Shiells became cashier
